Over the past year, we have launched the Squash in Schools program through Squash BC’s growth initiative. The program has improved access to and awareness of squash through this program, focusing on students in grades 3 to 7, while introducing the fundamentals of squash within the student’s gymnasium. The program has already introduced over 2200 students to the sport of squash over the past 6 months, making it the largest launched Squash BC program so far.
The program is delivered directly by Squash BC, while also partnering with a few local coaches in various communities. Through the initial pilot of the Squash in Schools program Squash BC has developed a Squash in Schools Curriculum and will soon be creating associated video guides, making it easier to deliver and share with coaches and phys-ed teachers across the province.
THANK YOU!
The Squash in Schools Program and its success would not be possible without the support of the Building the Future donors, and the viaSport Rally Together Grant Program.
