Concerned you might not have enough to provide a Legacy Gift?

Sometimes, people are unsure whether they will have enough to provide for their loved ones and create a legacy gift for the future. If this is a concern for you, there’s a way to make sure your loved ones receive what you intend and to fulfil your charitable wishes.

A residual gift can be made from what is left of your estate after all debts and specific gifts to loved ones have been paid, and it may be the best option for you. A charitable tax receipt for the full amount of your gift will be issued which can be beneficial to your loved ones when applied to the tax filings of your estate.

Sample wording to share with your lawyer or estate planner for both residual and specific gifts are included in our Legacy Giving Program Package.

Contribution Options & Instructions

Our Legacy Giving Program offers more than one way to contribute, giving you the choice of how you would like your gift to be received and used by Squash BC. Our Building the Future Fund and 2020 Fund can both accept planned gifts. Each fund helps provide the needed support to our Growth Initiative programs, which develop and revitalize squash across BC.

Our Legacy Giving Program Package includes more information about each of our contribution options and provides sample wording to share with your attorney and/or estate planner as you consider updating your Will.
