BC Open 2024 Information

This season the BC Open is set to return from November 14-17, 2024, at the Jericho Tennis Club in Vancouver. Similar to last year, the tournament will feature a PSA Challenger Tour Division, elevating the prestige of the tournament and creating more opportunities for the growth of professional squash in BC. The event will also cater to players of all skill levels, featuring amateur events including Tiered and Masters draws along with a Companion Silver Series Junior Event. Beyond the competitive on-court matches, participants can look forward to exciting social events adding to the overall experience of the event.

General Tournament Information

The BC Open is the cornerstone tournament of our calendar that features BC’s top athletes, as well as talented players from across Canada and beyond, battling it out for the esteemed BC Open titles. The BC Open also features PSA-Sanctioned Professional divisions, giving partners even more exposure to fans.

Community Day

This year’s BC Open will feature a Community Day on November 13th & 14th, 2024 with special focus on:

  • Grassroots Programming, such as Squash in Schools & Squash Starters
  • Community Outreach with PSA Player Involvement
  • Opportunity for Partner Events

Legacy Programming

Partnering with Squash BC for the 2024 BC Open will create a legacy for local squash development through enhanced funding to Squash in Schools, Squash Starters, and other Grassroots programs. These programs are entry points for new squash players to discover the sport and are key pieces of our Growth Initiative.

Squash BC’s mission is to continue to promote the growth of squash by providing programs and playing opportunities to players of all levels.

PAST BC OPENS

BC Open 2023

The 2023 BC Open, held November 22-26, 2023 at Evergreen Squash Club, was a resounding success, with Guillermo Cortes Ortiz and Niki Shemirani crowned as Men’s & Women’s PSA Division Champions, respectively. An event-record-breaking 177 players competed in the event, in divisions ranging from Tiered, to Masters, to Junior Silver.
