Squash BC is excited to launch the Silver Series Finals that will be hosted at St. Michael’s University School in Victoria on the April 20-21 weekend. A total of 80 juniors will qualify for the Silver Series Finals, where they will qualify based on the Silver Series Point Race that was launched in October (New Silver Series Point Race Announcement Article). The new Silver Series Finals provides an opportunity for the many juniors who have had a fantastic season on the Silver Series Circuit to come together in a year-end circuit celebration among all Island and Mainland athletes. This event provides another stepping stone in the Squash BC Junior Pathway, bringing the regionalized Silver Series competition to a valuable provincial level competition.

Qualification

The top 40 juniors from both the Island and Mainland Silver Series Point Race standings as of April 8th, 2024 will qualify to participate in this year’s Silver Series Finals.

Tournament Format

Players will be placed into draws based on their Club Locker Rating where the divisions will be split over the two days with half of the athletes competing on Saturday and the remaining athletes playing their matches on Sunday. In addition to the athletes competing as individuals, they also will be participating on two teams during the Finals to add some extra excitement to the weekend.

  • Battle of the Island vs Mainland

Athletes will represent their regions as the Island will face-off against the Mainland athletes. Participants will earn points based on their placements in the draws, with the region with the most points becoming region champions.

  • Club Match-Up

Participants will identify their home club prior to the start of the tournament and represent their clubs at the Silver Series Finals. The juniors will earn points for their club based on their placement in the tournament, with the club with the most points being crowned the Silver Series Club Champions.
