BC Jesters Doubles Raises $5,000 for Grassroots Squash

Jesters Doubles Recap

The 2024 BC Jesters Doubles Tournament was once again an incredible success and a significant fundraiser for Squash BC’s Growth Initiative. The BC Jesters, who previously expanded their partnership with Squash BC, generously contributed all registration revenue to Squash BC’s grassroots squash programming. As well, the Jesters ran a successful fundraising campaign alongside the event for the Squash BC Building the Future Fund.

The Jesters Doubles Tournament utilizes a unique format where participants play with different partners throughout. A total of 54 participants took place in this year’s event, which had many competitive and fun matches throughout the week. The 2024 final saw Sue Kafka and Morgan Latremouille overcome Jack Matthews and Dennis Forsman to claim the 2024 championship title. This was a successful title defence for Morgan, who also took home the title in 2023.

When taking into account both the registration revenue collected and donation campaign, the event raised over $5,000 for grassroots squash in BC. This will be used to support Squash BC’s Growth Initiative programs, like Post-Secondary, Squash Starters, and more.

Squash BC thanks the BC Jesters for their incredible support of squash and commitment to our programming efforts. As well, we thank the tournament organizing committee, and all volunteers, participants, and donors. We look forward to another incredible event in 2025!
