ROVING AMBASSADOR PROGRAM

Bringing Squash to Communities Across BC

The Roving Ambassador Program connects rural, remote, and historically underserved squash communities with high-quality programming, coaching, and events.

Our trained Ambassadors travel across the province to:

  • Deliver TRY-It sessions for youth, adults, and seniors
  • Host community engagement events and social nights
  • Provide coach and organizer training to develop local champions
  • Support facilities in building sustainable, ongoing squash programs

Whether you’re a recreation centre, community club, or school, we bring the energy of squash to your doors to help your community discover the fun and lifelong benefits of the sport.

How it Works

  1. Request a Roving Ambassador Visit : Member and Non-member facilities can request a Roving Ambassador to support local events, lessons, or community programming. Our team will work with you to create a customized schedule that best serves your community.
  2. Get a Taste of Squash: From school programs to seniors’ sessions, from beginner lessons to drop-in socials, we’ll showcase the sport in a way that fits your audience.
  3. Build Local Capacity: We’ll help identify and connect with volunteers or staff who can keep the momentum going after we leave.
  4. Join the Squash BC Network: After a visit, many non-member facilities choose to become Squash BC Member Facilities to unlock ongoing support, coaching resources, and access to our Community Champions Program
  5. Program Fees: We offer both subsidized and revenue generating visits. The subsidized rate is $50/4 Hour visit.
    1. To qualify for a subsidized visit one of the programs must include a three (3) hour community coordinator course, with a minimum of three (3) participants.
    2. Each member facility is eligible for one subsidized visit per year, each non-member facility is eligible for one subsidized visit every two (2) years.
    3. Additional visits or non-subsidized visits will have a revenue generating plan in place prior to the visit.
