From February 27 to March 1, Vancouver Squash Academy hosted the 2026 BC Junior Championships. This action-packed weekend welcomed over 100 athletes, all competing hard until 10 new Provincial Champions were across their respective divisions. This year, 11 clubs were represented as they battled for the team championship title!
Competition was strong across the Boys’ and Girls’ U11 to U19 divisions, with the Juniors displaying their skills and determination in pursuit of a provincial title. Four Silver Series divisions also took to the courts, with players in pursuit for valuable points to climb the rankings in the Silver Series Point Race.
VSA Wins the Team Event
After introducing a new team format in last year’s BC Junior Championships, the team championships made its return for the 2026 BC Junior Championships! Athletes designated a club to represent for the Championships. Points were given based on placements in their respective divisions (U11, U13, U15, U17, U19). Each club received scoring points from a maximum of 2 juniors in each division. Clubs with more than 2 participants in a division will receive points from their top 2 finishers. A huge congratulations to Vancouver Squash Academy for taking home the BC Junior Team Championship for the second year in a row!
