Thank you Jess!
Squash BC would like to give a major thank you to our Community Initiatives Coordinator, Jess Alexandor, as she concludes her one-year contract with Squash BC. Jess has been a huge part of the growth across all grassroots participation this past calendar year, which has seen record numbers across many programs.
Jess has been a vital member of the team by taking the lead of the Squash in School and Women in Squash programs. In 2025, she led both programs to record years by introducing the sport of squash to over 5,000 students. Jess supported the program as both an administrator of the program, scheduling many school visits, as well as supporting the program as an instructor during many visits.
In the Women in Squash program, she supported two major pillars of Squash BC in supporting Women’s development in the sport. Jess took the initiative to lead a very successful Women’s in Sport: Power Conference, which focused on the Power of Mentorship theme. In addition to the very successful conference, she supported the development of a new Women’s Mentoring which supported new coaches in the delivery of new programs. Her support for Women in Squash did not stop there, leading Squash BC to another record Women’s Squash Week, where over 600 women participated during the event from across the province.
Squash BC wishes the best to Jess as she begins her new journey in the new year. On behalf of the entire Squash BC community, thank you, Jess, for all the amazing accomplishments to help Squash BC achieve during the 2025 calendar year.
