Bayside Racquets Club in Parksville was the recipient of our first Travelling Jesters Program on April 27th. Karen Levine, Cathy Covernton and Nancy Thompson visited the club for a few hours in the later afternoon for some squash and social time with their members. Cathy and Karen showed the Baysiders some of their favourite 1,2, and 3 person drills and then played some games with members while Nancy spoke with players and took some photos. The 14 Baysiders very much appreciated the Jesters’ visit and are looking forward to the next one.

“The Jesters offer a very adaptable and non-intimidating experience to teach and encourage squash players from beginners to veterans. The program is highly adaptable and the Jesters are willing to play, coach, and demonstrate at whatever level is required. Preparation is minimal, communication excellent, and the delivery is fun, friendly, and entertaining. I highly recommend The Jesters as a way to energize and encourage squash at the local level.”

THE TRAVELING JESTERS PROGRAM

The Travelling Jesters Program takes advantage of the talent and willingness of the BC Jester members to be ambassadors for squash and share their love of the game with others.

Upon request by the club, a few Jesters will visit your club to play fun, social squash with your members for a few hours. Events can include:

  • Singles games
  • Round Robin / Mix & Match with members and Jesters
  • An Exhibition match followed by fun play

It’s a cost-free opportunity to offer your members a day of organized squash play with players that have played squash at a higher level and can share their knowledge of the game in a fun and friendly way.
