The 2021 BC Open, presented by Aussie Pie Guy was held this past weekend (December 2-5) at YWCA Racquets + Fitness in Vancouver. Giselle Delgado (Victoria) took home the Women’s Open Singles title, winning over runner-up Michelle Garceau (Surrey) 8-11, 12-10, 11-2, 10-12, 14-12. In the Men’s Open Singles draw, Ryan Picken (Vancouver) won the title over Tristan Eysele (Shawnigan Lake) 13-11, 7-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-2 in the final.
Overall, 56 participants played in the event in men’s and women’s divisions across a variety of levels. Squash BC thanks Tournament Director Andrew Lynn and Tournament Referee Christina Yap, as well as all event volunteers, organizers, and sponsors for putting forth such a successful iteration of the BC Open.
