Top BC Players compete at the Junior Gold Series Jericho

Jericho Tennis Club hosted the second of two back-to-back Junior Gold Series Events to launch the 2021-22 Squash BC competitive junior season. This past weekend (September 17-19) 63 of the province’s top juniors competed for titles in three age categories.

As a means of creating more competitive opportunities ahead of the junior national championships happening next month, this event and last weekend’s Junior Gold Series #1 event (hosted by Evergreen Squash Club) split the typical age categories. This allowed top juniors to “play up” in an older age category in one of two weekends. As well, larger draws were split into tiers to increase the quality of matches at every round. A list of all winners, finalists, and final-round scores is available below.

Squash BC would like to thank Tournament Director Richard Yendell and Tournament Referee Christina Yap for working diligently throughout the event. As well, Squash BC appreciates all staff and volunteers who contributed to the event’s success.
