The all-glass Power Court is set to make its highly anticipated return to British Columbia in 2026 for the Canadian Junior and Senior Championships, marking the pinnacle event of the 2025-26 squash season. Squash Canada and Squash BC are currently seeking hosts for this prestigious event, which is expected to showcase the best squash talent in the country while reinforcing the sport’s growing momentum towards the LA2028 Olympic Games.

2022 Canadian Junior Championships

This will be the first time since 2022 that British Columbia plays host to the National Championships. That year, the Canadian Junior Championships took place in Victoria from May 5-8 at Cedar Hill Squash Club, with a Gold draw featuring the Top 16 athletes in each of the boys’ and girls’ U13, U15, U17, and U19 divisions. A companion Silver event was held at St. Michaels University School (SMUS). The Canadian Squash Championships moved to Vancouver from June 1-5, bringing together the country’s best senior players.

2022 Canadian Squash Championships

One of the standout moments of the 2022 Nationals was the glass Power Court, which was built outdoors at Jack Poole Plaza on the grounds of the Vancouver Convention Centre. With the breathtaking backdrop of the ocean and mountains, the venue provided a world-class stage for squash, drawing in players and spectators alike. The Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club served as the host club, with support from the Evergreen Squash Club, Jericho Tennis Club, Vancouver Racquets Club, and the YWCA Fitness and Racquet Club.

The return of the Canadian Junior and Senior Championships in 2026 is expected to build on this legacy, offering an unforgettable experience for players, fans, and the entire squash community. This event will not only highlight the sport’s top competitors but also play a vital role in Canada’s squash journey toward the Olympic stage.
