Squash BC Welcomes Two New Team Members: Makiko Harada and Nicole Harney
Squash BC is pleased to announce the onboarding of two new staff members who will play key roles in advancing our programs, strengthening member services, and supporting the delivery of our strategic plan. We are excited to welcome Makiko Harada as Sport Operations Coordinator and Nicole Harney as Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator.
Makiko Harada — Sport Operations Coordinator
Makiko Harada joins Squash BC with more than 15 years of experience in sport administration within a provincial sport organization, primarily in adaptive sport. Her background includes sport operations, event management, membership services, Safe Sport, and program development. Throughout her career, she has worked closely with athletes, coaches, officials, clubs, volunteers, and community partners to create positive and inclusive sport experiences. Makiko looks forward to supporting the continued growth of squash across British Columbia and contributing to the delivery of high‑quality programs and events.
Nicole Harney — Marketing & Partnerships Coordinator
Nicole Harney brings a strong background in sports marketing, event presentation, and partnership coordination, with experience across Vancouver’s sports community. She has contributed to organizations including Vancouver Whitecaps FC, Vancouver Bandits, Vancouver FC, the Coquitlam Express, and the FIFA World Cup 2026, supporting marketing initiatives, enhancing fan experiences, and building meaningful relationships nationwide. Nicole is passionate about growing community through sports—and sports through community. She is excited to meet the members, volunteers, and partners who make Squash BC so special.
