Squash BC sent a strong team to the 2026 RK4 Canadian Masters Team Championships, which took place in Montreal, Quebec, between January 23 and 26. Team BC was represented by Andrew Clements, Andrew Lynn, Ben Thomas, Jay Anderson, Lauren Wagner, Thea Wilson -Scorgie, and Val Johnson. The team capped off a fantastic tournament, placing 4th overall against a very competitive 10-team competition.
Team BC had a very strong showing to start the competition on Friday, winning both matches very comfortably. They opened the tournament against Team PEI, where they cruised to a 7-0 win, without dropping a single game across the 7 matches. They had a very limited break before they had to take on Team Saskatchewan, where they went onto winning the match once again 7-0, with only losing a single game in the 7 matches.

On Saturday morning, they had their last match of the preliminary pool play, where they faced Team Quebec A for a spot in the podium division. The head-to-head was a heated matchup where Team BC fell just short of making it into the podium group, where it was a tight battle that came down to the final match, where Team BC lost 4-3. Following the loss to Team Quebec A, Team BC was placed in the 4-6 consolation pool.
In the consolation bracket, Team BC was paired up with Team Nova Scotia and Team Manitoba, where Team BC returned to their dominant play from the start of the tournament. To finish up the play from Saturday, Team BC took on Team Manitoba, where they went on to win 6-1. To wrap up the tournament on Sunday, we took on Team Nova Scotia and continued our strong play, winning 5-2 against a strong opponent.
