The weather may be cooling down, but squash in BC is just heating up! October serves up a full slate of tournaments across the province, from junior highlights to Silver Series stops and a PSA professional showcase, there’s something for every player and fan to get excited about this month.

2025 BC Junior Open (NJC Platinum #1) – October 3-5 – Evergreen Squash Club 

Come out and support our rising squash stars! The BC Junior Open will once again open the 2025-26 Canadian National Junior Platinum Circuit, which will attract the top junior squash talents from British Columbia and across Canada, vying for the esteemed BC Junior Open title. With both Gold and Silver level draws available, juniors of all skill levels from U11 to U19 will have an opportunity to participate in this thrilling competition.

2025 Vancouver Island Open – October 3-5 – Cedar Hill Squash Club 

Come out and watch! The Men’s and Women’s Open Divisions will showcase the top 16 rated players, while the Men’s PSA Satellite Event is set to bring international competition to the courts. Registered PSA players include Omar Zakaria (#341), Jason Sano Herring (#526), Abhi Reddy (#874), and Nicodemus Tam (#887). In addition to the Open and PSA events, the tournament will also feature Men’s and Women’s Masters Divisions and draws organized by ratings, ensuring exciting matchups across all levels.

2025 Richardson Wealth PSA Open – October 15-19 – Vancouver Lawn Tennis and Badminton Club

The 4th Annual Richardson Wealth PSA Open presented by Baker Tilly is back in 2025! This world-class event will feature a $30,000 USD PSA World Copper draw, attracting 24 international pros, including top 100 players Yahya Elnawasany (World #43) and Omar Mosaad (former World #3). Fans can expect electrifying squash, with past champions like Greg Lobban (World #20) and Leo Cardenas (World #13) setting the bar high.

Alongside the pro event, over 100 amateur players will compete in singles and doubles draws across all levels. With packed crowds, world-class talent, and a vibrant tournament atmosphere, this is one of B.C.’s premier squash events — and one you won’t want to miss!

SMUS Silver Series #1 – October 17-18 – St. Michael’s University School

The Junior Silver Series is a regionalized tournament series that allows developing players to compete, experience success in the sport and continue to hone their squash skills. This tournament in the series is hosted by St. Michaels University School (SMUS) in Victoria and includes the opportunity for junior squash players to play competitively. Players can expect prizes, a pizza party, and snacks.

2025 Saw Valley Carving Arbutus Club (BC NJC Gold #2) – October 24-26 – The Arbutus Club 

Junior Gold Series events give top junior athletes the opportunity to play in high-level competitive environments. The Saw Valley Carving Junior Gold Series, hosted at the Arbutus Club, includes a tournament T-shirt, a Hand Carved trophy courtesy of Ryan Cook at Saw Valley Carving, Friday pizza dinner, Saturday lunch and draw prizes.
