Squash BC has opened the application process for the 2025/26 BC Provincial Championships Series. All events provide an excellent opportunity for clubs to showcase their amazing facilities to athletes of all levels from across BC and Canada. If you have questions about hosting any event, please contact the Squash BC Sport Development Manager. Squash BC is seeking a host for the following events: 

  • 2025 BC Junior Open 
  • 2025 BC Open 
  • 2026 BC Junior Squash Championships 
  • 2026 BC Squash Championships 

Squash BC takes care of tournament logistics, planning, scheduling, staffing, and takes on the full budget of the event. This allows the selected host club to showcase their facility without worrying about event planning, delivery, or staffing. We provide the host facility with 15% of registration fees (after tournament registration expenses) in exchange for providing: 

  • Access to the facility, squash courts and change rooms 
  • Support in finding event volunteers and starting referees (if needed) 
  • Provide a representative for the Tournament Planning Committee to help provide facility insight, feedback, and communication

2025 BC Open

Proposed Tournament Dates: November 12-16, 2025 

Host one of the premier events of the 2025-26 BC Provincial Championships Series! Last season’s event saw an incredible turnout of 175 players competing, including a Men’s PSA Challenger 3 draw and a Women’s Open division. For 2025, Squash BC will return the men’s PSA sanction to at least a Challenger 3 event to attract players across Canada and internationally. 

Clubs interested in hosting the 2025 BC Open can apply to host the event by completing the 2025 BC Open Host Application form by May 30, 2025.  

2025 BC Junior Open

Proposed Tournament Dates: October 3-5, 2025

Prepare to witness the future stars of squash in action at the BC Junior Open! This prestigious junior tournament serves as a platform for showcasing the top talent of junior players from across the province and beyond. The upcoming 2025 BC Junior Open marks the event’s exciting return to the Squash Canada National Junior Circuit, which promises to draw even more top players. The 2024 BC Junior Open had a total of 156 juniors participating in the action as we look to growing participation in the event for the upcoming season.

2026 BC Junior Squash Championships 

Proposed Dates: February 27 – March 1, 2026

The BC Junior Squash Championships serve as the closed BC championships among our junior athletes. This event had 109 juniors battling it out on the court in 2025, crowning the best athletes for each age group across the province. With new High Performance requirements coming into effect for the 2025/26 season, this event will see an increase in registration with new requirements for juniors wishing to train with the revamped Squash BC High Performance Program. 

For those interested in hosting either the BC Junior Open, we invite you to complete the BC Junior Squash Championships Application Form by June 16, 2025.  

2026 BC Squash Championships 

Proposed Dates: April 9-12, 2026

After another record-breaking year with 183 participants, the BC Squash Championships are the premier Championship event of the season. The Championships are focused on adult tiered divisions with additional companion junior events. The event also includes a few community initiatives to help drive and promote squash in the local community. Some community initiatives include Squash in Schools, Women in Squash, Officiating Development and Junior Pathways.

The Squash BC Provincial Championships Fund was established to help organize and deliver Squash BC’s annual Provincial Championship Series, which includes events like the BC Doubles Championships, BC Open, BC Squash Championships, BC Junior Squash Championships, and more. The Fund gives Squash BC the required support to continue organizing and growing high-quality tournaments for our athletes.
