Silver Series Points Race
The Silver Series Point Race was launched last season to award juniors playing in multiple Silver Series events across the province. Chloe Ye of Vancouver and Tristan Huang of Langford won their respective regions. The Island Point Race saw the leaderboard shifting throughout the season, with Tristan winning the division after coming into the Finals sitting in 11th place. Tristan had a very successful Finals event where he finished second overall in the Tier 6 draw. Max Arndt and Brian Tao finished closely behind, tied in second place with 480 points. The Mainland Points Race saw Chloe place third in the Tier 7 draw of the finals, helping her leapfrog into first place for the Silver Series Finals. Jia Wei Wu finished very close behind with 483 points, and Steve Shi Chen finished 3rd with 470 points.
The Point Race incentivizes participation in the Series and allows juniors to track their success throughout the season. Athletes receive 20 points towards the series for participating in an event and could earn up to 100 points if they win their division. For more information regarding the Point Series, visit the Silver Series Information page. This year, a total of 271 juniors competed in the Silver Series Point Race, an increase of 34 juniors from the inaugural season. All the action made very close races in both the island and mainland standings, where it came down to the final Silver Series Finals tournament to declare the winner of both regions.
Squash BC would like to thank all the juniors who participated in a Silver Series event this year and give a huge shout-out to all the Club Pros and Clubs that hosted Silver Series events. Squash BC is excited to see the continued growth of the Silver Series circuit as we head into the 2025/26 season.
