Speaker Spotlight: Tina Strehlke – CEO of Minerva BC
We are excited to feature Tina, the CEO of Minerva BC, as one of our key speakers and workshop leaders. Minerva BC is a Vancouver-based charity dedicated to advancing economic and leadership opportunities for women and girls. With 20 years of experience in the social impact sector, Tina brings extensive expertise in career development, gender equality, inclusive leadership, and creating equitable workplaces. She holds a BA in International Relations from UBC and an MA in Communications from Royal Roads University.
Tina will lead two powerful workshops:
🔹 Leveraging Mentorship & Sponsorship – If you want to advance your career, you need both mentors and sponsors. Mentors provide guidance and feedback, while sponsors advocate for you and open doors. This workshop will help participants identify the right mentors and sponsors for their career stage and goals, develop strategies to approach them effectively, and maximize their support network.
🔹 Insight Circles (Peer Mentorship) – This energizing workshop invites participants to engage in small-group peer mentoring and leadership coaching. After a review of effective coaching questions, attendees will work in groups of 3-5 people to share expertise, collaborate on problem-solving, and gain valuable insights. This session will enhance clarity, inquiry, and consulting skills, leaving participants feeling empowered and connected.
