With squash season in full swing, there’s a lineup of exciting events happening all over BC this November:

Doubles Rule Clinic – Vancouver Racquets Club – Nov 2

This clinic is the starting point of becoming a certified doubles official in the Squash Canada doubles officiating pathway. Even for those who don’t want to become a certified official, the clinic provides detailed information on the rules to assist players better enjoy their games.

This course will cover the important rules that need to be known about the rules of the doubles game and have a better understanding of lets, strokes and no lets.

KemTek Kelowna Open – Global Fitness Club – Nov 8-10

The 2024 KemTek Kelowna Open, part of the PSA Challenger Tour 9, begins with eight matches featuring players ranked in the world’s top 100. The amateur event offers a guaranteed three matches and includes a new women’s beginner-level draw with reduced entry fees. Refreshments will be served, including beer and wine, along with a Friday Pizza Party and a Saturday gathering at The Office Brewery. This event provides an opportunity to enjoy high-level squash and engage with the local community, making it a great experience for players and fans alike.

2024 BC Open Championships presented by Windsor Plywood – Jericho Tennis Club – Nov 14-17

Squash BC is set to host the historic BC Open presented by Windsor Plywood at Jericho Tennis Club in Vancouver. This event will feature both a Men’s Challenger 3 and Women’s Open, alongside amateur ratings-tiered and masters divisions, as well as a Junior Silver Series event, catering to players of all ages and skill levels. Participants can expect a minimum of two matches guaranteed. Additional activities include a tournament dinner, access to PSA Challenger matches, a court-side happy hour, draw prizes, and a tournament souvenir bag.

2024 BC Open presented by Windsor Plywood – Junior Silver Series Companion Tournament – Jericho Tennis Club – Nov 15-17

The Junior Silver Series is a regionalized tournament series that allows developing players to compete, experience success in the sport and continue to hone their squash skills. This tournament in the series is an opportunity for junior squash players to participate in the BC Open.

Shawnigan Lake Silver Series #2 – Shawnigan Lake School – Nov 16

The next tournament in the Silver Series this month is held at Shawnigan Lake School featuring a mixed draw tournament with draws organized by skill level to ensure a fair and engaging experience for all participants. Entry includes complimentary drinks, delicious pizza, and a chance to win great prizes.

Western Canadian Doubles Squash Championships – Evergreen Squash Club – Nov 19-24

The West Coast Doubles is back again this year, this time, hosted at Evergreen Squash Club. Participants will receive a souvenir T-shirt and have the opportunity to enjoy a Saturday Pizza & Keg during the Open semifinals, as well as a continental breakfast on Saturday and Sunday. Out-of-town players should plan to arrive by 4:00 PM on Friday.

The Baker Street Boast 2024 – Nelson Squash & Social Club – Nov 22-24

Nelson’s fall tournament is back: with legs warmed up and shots finely tuned, it’s the perfect time to challenge last season’s rivals to a rematch. Participants will be pleased to know that the courts are in excellent condition, featuring newly replaced wall panels and a refinished floor.

Players enjoy Friday pizza, Saturday morning coffee and muffins, and an evening Shepherd’s Pie dinner (with a vegetarian option available). The tournament guarantees three matches and concludes with finals on Sunday, along with morning coffee and muffins.

UVic Squash Open 2024 – University of Victoria – Nov 22-24

The 9th Annual University of Victoria Open is scheduled for November 22-24, 2024. This event welcomes players of various skill levels and ages to participate in a weekend of squash. The tournament includes a PSA satellite event for the Women’s and Men’s Open divisions, featuring players from BC and Canada. Participants will receive unisex Vikes socks with their entry.

Holly Jolly Women’s Mini Squash Tournament – Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club – Nov 23

Join us for the Holly Jolly Women’s Mini Squash Tournament on Saturday, November 23rd, from 1-4:30pm! This exciting and festive event offers a fun-filled afternoon of Squash, complete with prizes, drinks, and snacks.

Whether you’re new to the game or looking to sharpen your skills, beginner tips and techniques will be available throughout the day.
