A message from the Squash BC Board of Directors
Today we share the unfortunate news that Squash BC Executive Director Colin Latchford has resigned from his role and will be leaving the organization on August 2, 2024. The Squash BC Board of Directors is currently working with Colin on a transition plan that will allow the team to maintain operations, while a new Executive Director is recruited.
Colin led Squash BC through a tremendous three years of growth, highlighted by the development of our 2023-28 Strategic Plan, major grassroots programming launches, our recent rebrand, and the delivery of successful Provincial Championship events. During this period, Squash BC grew and developed our staff team, who will continue working towards our goals. We believe the work done over the past three years has set the organization up for success going forward, under the leadership of a new Executive Director.
We thank Colin for his excellent work over the past three years and wish him the best in his next opportunity.
We are pleased to share that Tasha Doucas has accepted the role of interim Executive Director as a part of this important transition to a permanent Executive Director. As a former Squash BC Board President, as well as an active athlete, coach, official, and volunteer, Tasha brings a wealth of experience from her lifelong involvement in squash. This makes her an ideal person to lead the transition plan Squash BC has developed for this critical period, which will ensure the organization does not lose momentum.
The Board of Directors will soon release our recruitment package for our next Executive Director. Please keep an eye out for this and share it with any contacts in your network that would be a great fit for the role.
Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact the Squash BC office at office@squashbc.com.
