2024 Canadian Squash Championships Recap

The 2024 Canadian Squash Championships, held in Calgary, Alberta from April 30 to May 4, was one of the largest in Squash Canada history with over 290 participants. BC had a great weekend, with multiple athletes bringing home national championships and plenty of top-3 finishes across a range of divisions!

Nicole Bunyan came in second in the Women’s Open category after a hard-fought battle with National Champion Hollie Naughton, while Jason Herring took home third place in the Men’s U23 draw. BC dominated the podium in the Men’s 50+ draw, with Ben Thomas securing the national championship while Andrew Lynn and Jay Anderson secured second and third respectively. Nazir Hirji secured the Men’s 65+ national championship, along with Rashid Aziz in the Men’s 70+. With many more podium finishes, BC had a real impressive showing across the entire event.
