The inaugural season of the Vancouver Women’s Squash League (VWSL) proved to be a success, showcasing the enthusiasm and talent of female squash players of all different levels! VWSL included players from all across the Lower Mainland, with a total of over 100 women playing in the league this season.
This season, five different clubs participated in VWSL, forming a total of 14 teams! There was fierce competition across both of the two divisions, leading to some thrilling matches during the season. Teams participated in both regular season league matches during the season, both hosting and travelling to other clubs for home and away matches.
Teams battled throughout the VWSL season with the top two teams in the regular season qualifying for a final playoff. With top two teams of each division faced each other for the finals of their division to crown the inaugural division winners of the league!

Division 1 – Evergreen – End Gamers def. VRC – Neil (4-0)

This season also saw the addition of a few drop-in play nights throughout the season to celebrate season, while also providing an opportunity for league players to bring their friends or family to help grow the VWSL. In total the league had 3 drop-in nights throughout the season which seen over 90 participants attend the sessions of squash, and the off-court refreshments provided by the league.
Squash BC wants to extend a huge thanks to the VWSL League Advisory Committee, for their constant dedicated efforts in making this season a huge success. We would also like to express our appreciation to all of the club administrators and team captains for their commitment to your teams and the league.
As the 2023/24 season comes to an end, we hope that everyone has a great summer. We are excited to welcome all VWSL players back on the court in the Fall.
