Welcome Alejandra Rivas and Roger Veronneau to the team! Alejandra joins Squash BC as the new Event Management Intern, while Roger takes on the role of Sport Development Intern.
Alejandra is a Capilano University student of The North American Business Management Applied Post Baccalaureate Diploma Program. She is eager to gain more experience as an event management intern at Squash BC, be able to contribute her knowledge, and learn about everything involved in the organization of a sports event. Her personal experience with sports started when she was part of her high school volleyball team for 4 years. Since coming to Vancouver, she has continued to workout in the gym and as a runner participating in half marathons. Alejandra is excited to learn more about squash from an event organization point of view and to be able to develop all her knowledge to support the growth of Squash BC.
Roger is in the Sport Management Degree program at Camosun College and is enthusiastic about sports and living a healthy lifestyle. Roger’s first foray in sports involved Karate, where he earned his black belt. He then transitioned from individual sports to team sports with soccer and water polo. He has played sports all throughout his life. He has participated as a player, coach, referee, spectator, and tournament organizer. Roger is looking forward to working with Squash BC and hopes to gain lots of firsthand experience running and organizing programs and events.
