The first half of VWSL’s inaugural season has come to an end! Squash BC is thrilled to share that the Fall half of the season had over 100 women across 14 teams in 2 divisions. Participants were able to register at any point during the season and teams introduced many new women to squash!
VWSL players celebrated the midseason end on December 12th with an amazing Holiday Party! Players from both divisions came out to play squash, cheer on teammates, and socialize with friends and colleagues. Thank you to VRC that hosted the VWSL players and provided the party with delicious food and drinks! The party continued after all matches were done. The VWSL ladies celebrated Natalie Ratchford’s birthday with a delicious chocolate cake and draw prizes were won. The evening’s draw prize winners included: Ming Chang, Cara James, and Susana Yeung Alvarez.
Thank you to all players for taking part in this new league! A very special thank you to all of the Club Admins, Pros, Captains, and the VWSL Advisory Committee for all their hard work in making this inaugural season a success. See you all for the second half of VWSL in January 2024!
