Professional Squash Coming to Vancouver This Fall

PSA Events

In addition to all the incredible Provincial and National Sanctioned tournaments on our 2023-24 Squash BC Calendar of Events, Squash BC is excited to announce three Professional Squash Association (PSA) Events taking place in the Lower Mainland this fall!

These events will feature both top Male and Female talent from across Canada and beyond, with players not only showcasing high-level squash, but also battling it out for coveted prize pools and valuable world ranking points. With lots of exhilarating squash on the horizon, Squash BC is excited for these events to create memorable experiences for all players, spectators, coaches, volunteers, and referees.

Here are some key details about the three PSA Events coming this fall:

2023 Richardson Wealth PSA Open | November 8th – 12th, 2023
Prize Pool: $15,000 Men’s Draw
Location: Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club
Club Locker Page: 2023 Richardson Wealth PSA Open

The 2023 Richardson Wealth PSA Open is set to have a large of mix of players representing eight countries, with England’s Nathan Lake (World #34) leading the way as the tournament’s #1 seed, followed by USA’s Faraz Khan (World #50) as the #2 seed.

BC’s #1 player Ryan Picken along with fellow Canadian Shawn Delierre will be competing amongst the top-players in the world for the coveted prize money and ranking points. The draws will also feature Canadian National Team members Liam Morrison and Salah Eltorgman, who will be representing Team Canada at the upcoming World Squash Championships in New Zealand this coming December. Other promising talent includes former Junior World #1 Jonah Bryant (England) who has recently impressed with wins over Top 25 World players.

2023 Underhill Geomatics Sports Central Open | November 11th – 16th, 2023
Prize Pool: $9,000 Men’s Draw
Location: Sports Central Athletic Club

The 2023 Underhill Geomatics Sports Central Open is set to feature top Male squash talent all competing for the coveted prize pool and important ranking points, promising exhilarating squash throughout the weekend. More event details including confirmed players will be shared soon.

2023 BC Open | November 23rd – 26th, 2023
Prize Pool: $2,500 Men’s Draw & $2,500 Women’s Draw
Location: Evergreen Squash Club

The 2023 BC Open is a cornerstone tournament set to feature BC’s top athletes, as well as talented players from across Canada and beyond. This year, Squash BC added PSA Men’s and Women’s Divisions to the event to bring more top-level talent and competitive opportunities to BC.
