Squash BC is thrilled to see participation for this year’s BC Open Singles Squash Championships presented by Nicola Wealth Management maxed out as 150 players have entered this prestigious tournament.
The Women’s Open draw promises to be a barn burner featuring: BC#1 and 2019 BC Closed Champion Giselle Delgado; BC#2 and silver winner at the 2018 U23 Canadian Championships Grace Thomas, BC #3 Carolyn Russell and BC#6 and World Masters Champion Lauren Wagner, along with other BC Provincial Squad ‘up and comers’ like BC#11 and U15 2019 BC Closed Champion Grace Huang and BC#13 and U13 2018 Canadian Junior Open Champion Maria Min vying for bragging rights!
Meanwhile, the Men’s Open is packed with a wonderful mix including BC#6 and Canadian Men’s Team member Ryan Picken (who won his age category for every BC Junior Closed he competed in during his junior years), BC#8 Duncan Maxwell and BC#9 Michael Thompson and a number of BC Provincial Training Squad members who are fresh off of wins at the Alberta Jesters.
