On Saturday, Squash BC hosted a Community Squash Instructor Course at the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club, where 10 participants started the coaching journey. The course was facilitated by Andrew Lynn and newly certified Facilitators Tasha Doucas and Shawn Zwierzchowski

Squash BC is excited to see these new 10 coaches introduce and grow squash in their communities. This course saw participant registration ranging from 3 different BC Game zones, showing potential growth across these zones. Participants received training on how to prepare lesson plans and deliver squash programming to grassroots participants.

“As someone who had never taught a structured squash lesson before, I now feel fully equipped to do so. The group training activities and drills we worked through allowed me to gain valuable skills, as well as connect with other individuals who took the course alongside me.” – Jess

Squash BC would like to give a massive thank you to the Vancouver Lawn Tennis & Badminton Club for supporting the course and also to the amazing Learning Facilitators Andrew Lynn, Shawn Zwierzchowski and Tasha Doucas.
