1st Annual Shawnigan Lake
Junior Open
September 17, 18 and 19th at Shawnigan Lake School
Juniors: This will be the first tournament of the year so come
out, meet all your friends and get back into playing shape.
Parents: We will be scheduling wine tours on Saturday, and conducting
spin classes on Saturday and Sunday. There will also be opportunities
for golf and other activities. Why should the Juniors have all the

Foundations Coaching Course,
(old level 1)
There will be a Foundations Coaching Course in Victoria September
24-26. The course will be run by Ben Uliana and will start Friday
night 6:00 PM, 9:00 AM Saturday and Sunday. NOTE
TO ALL JUNIORS; Juniors who take a coaching course will be
subsidized for this year. Initial fees for the Foundations Course
will be $150.00. As soon as you complete the course and the paper
work has been submitted to Squash BC, you will be rebated $100.00.
To become certified with the NCCP coaches must be 16 years of age.
2nd NOTE TO ALL JUNIORS; To
be eligible for Squash BC funding in your last year of juniors, you
must be a certified coach.

Vancouver Corporate Team Squash
Challenge
October 3rd 2010 at the Bentall Centre Athletic Club. (click
here for poster)
Number of Teams: 8 Teams of 4 players
Tournament Style: Two Pools of 4, Each team to play each other within
the same pool. Each match will be 2 games with PAR scoring to 11.
Top team from each pool to play in a Final
Tournament Winner: Trophy to be presented and $1000 to be donated
to a charity of choice by winner
Entry Fee: $225 per team of
Food & Drinks: Burger and Beer ticket per person for trophy presentation
at end of tournament
Tournament Supporters: PricewaterhouseCoopers, BDO, Bentall Centre

External Sport Credits for
High School Students
The External Sport Credentials Program (ESCP) gives students the opportunity
to earn graduation credits for approved levels of competition as an
athlete, coach and/or official.
Students can obtain External Sport Credits in these categories:
- Athlete (10, 11, 12)
- Coach (11, 12) more info |

court/being a coach/parent/spectator!
What is this article is all about you may ask? I’m going
to put down some basic do’s and don’ts for squash players,
coaches, parents and spectators. There have been some situations come
up in the past six months and I’m not sure all people know what
they should and shouldn’t do in sport.
